Project Access Levels

April, 2025

Project Access Levels are used to control who can access information, create, become an editor or manager of work in a project and provide secure and role-based collaboration regardless of workflows and team structures. These levels aid in controlling visibility, responsibility and data confidentiality in all manner of projects. Access levels are three in number:

1. Public: It allows every user with access to the workspace to view, create and edit the tasks in the project. This stage is most suitable when teams need to work openly, be transparent and have a joint ownership of duties and updates or tracking of progress.

2. Private: The project can only be accessed by the Admins and a group of selected users. They have the full rights of viewing, creating and editing tasks. This environment is most appropriate for confidential, limited or sensitive projects with few team members or leaders.

3. Limited: Users can search, view and comment on tasks so that they can be seen and participated in. Tasks can, however, be created or edited only by explicitly added users. This comes in handy to disseminate project information to a wide audience and limit any changes in tasks to the major players.
