What is Kanban?

Kanban is a popular method for managing and improving work. It uses a visual board to show the progress of tasks, making it easy for team members to see what needs to be done, what's in progress, and what's completed. This helps teams communicate better and work more efficiently.

Creating a Kanban Project in Orufy Projects

Step 1: Create a Kanban Project

  1. Select Kanban Template:
    • Start by creating a new project in Orufy Projects.
    • From the template library, choose the Kanban template.
    • Click Create Project to begin.

Step 2: Set Up Your Project

  1. Create Issues:

    • Within your new Kanban project, you can start creating issues. These issues represent tasks or work items that need to be completed.
    • Fill in the issue details, assign it to a team member, and save it.
  2. Track Task Progress:

    • Your Kanban board will visually represent the progress of each issue.
    • As work progresses, team members can move issues across the board to reflect their status (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Done).

Step 3: Manage Your Project

  1. Edit Project Settings:

    • Click on the three dots (...) in the top-right corner of your project dashboard to access additional project management options.
  2. Project Management Options:

    • Project Details: Update your project name, description, and other basic details.
    • Manage Status: Customize the statuses on your Kanban board to fit your workflow.
    • Custom Fields: Add custom fields to capture additional information for each issue.
    • Project Access: Control who can view and edit your project.
    • Duplicate: Create a copy of your project, including all issues and settings.
    • Delete: Remove the project if it's no longer needed.
