Integrating Telegram with Connect
Access Connect Settings:
- Log in to your Connect dashboard and navigate to the settings.
Navigate to Channels:
- In the settings menu, find and click on the "Channels" option.
- Choose Telegram from the list of available channels.
Connect Your Telegram Account with a Bot:
- Now follow some simple steps to create your bot click on "Start Setup".
- Open Telegram App and search for "@botfather" in the search bar.
- Click on the "Start" button or type "/start" to initiate a conversation with @botfather.
- Type "/newbot" to create a new Telegram bot.
- Enter a name for the bot, and also give a username to your bot then you will receive an API token in a message from @botfather.
- Paste the API token into the input field provided in the Connect dashboard and save it.
Configure Bot Settings in Connect:
- Once the API token is saved, your bot will be reflected in the Connect Telegram section. You can see the bot name you created and set the bot status.
- Assign the bot to any team if required.
- Trigger your bot and select the bot you created. This will allow them to communicate with users over Telegram.
Initiate Conversation with Your Bot:
- To find your bot on Telegram, simply type your bot's username or locate it in the BotFather message.
- Click on the bot's username and press "Start" to initiate a conversation with the bot.
