Files Cards

The Files card enables visitors to seamlessly add or attach files from their devices to the bot, enhancing communication and data exchange. Here's a guide on how to add and utilize File cards effectively:

Accessing Card Options:

  • Click the cardholder icon (+) to access the card gallery and select the Files card under input cards.

Card Configuration:

  • Provide a name and message to be displayed alongside the File card.

Saving Responses:

  • Save the responses (files) in the bot context and customer field to utilize them as attachments or plug inputs for further actions.

Defining File Formats and Limits:

  • Select the file formats you expect visitors to upload.
  • Supported file formats include doc, txt, docx, pdf, jpg, jpeg, gif, mp3, mp4, png, and zip.
  • The maximum file size allowed for upload is 5 MB.

Saving Configuration:

  • Click Save to finalize the card configuration.

Channel Compatibility and Limitations:

  • Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp do not support the Files card directly. However, you can handle these cases using the criteria router, creating alternative flows based on the channel type.

Examples of Files Card Actions:

  1. Verification Process: Visitors can upload their ID as a file for verification.
  2. Email Attachments: Received proofs from visitors can be added as attachments in the send email card for reference.
